Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills or stains) in one session without having to swap out devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you up and running with a clean, complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For example, you can opt for the robot to clean up the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only problem is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will reveal exactly what the robot completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station informs the maintenance tasks that need to be done like emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being capable of running for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you see all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This increases the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could be unable to pick up.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are a wall or another surface. It is able to change its course in a way that is automatic and clean around them without stumbling.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also packed with features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto-refills.
The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its innovative design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while saving you time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the best alternatives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry debris. It also comes with a high-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet in operation and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.
Another standout feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture such as table and chair legs. It can also get under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush also automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots, which is a nice addition that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Unlike some other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 can do both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or individually. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpet and mop only hard floors or vice versa. best automatic vacuum can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is simple to use and understand, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, change modes, view maps and floor plans, and control mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is full and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive available and comes with a lot of additional features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mops, uses two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and soiled spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is an excellent feature as it stops the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen before on other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.
There's an impressive amount of options available, including the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app, or via buttons that can be found on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are many features that other robots do not include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles instead of using a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, with metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing, but it's still not too heavy. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. Going Here can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
